DNS Detective
Some people like to use DNS tricks to obfuscate the actual location of their website. This is not entirely effective, however. I'll demonstrate a few techniques to get around the obfuscation and, in doing so, point out another flaw in relying solely on security by obscurity.
Failed Login Attempts
Security and usability are quite often at odds. It is easy to engage in insecure practices because you don't know any better or are sure it couldn't happen to you. One of the easiest and most dangerous things you can do is use a weak password. (Yes, 'password123' is weak.)
